Here's a little sneak peek for a very special family.

Mixing Business & Pleasure

A woman with child is a beautiful thing! I had the privilege to photograph my very sweet friend, Michelle.  She is expecting her 4th child in a few weeks. We had so much fun with her session.  It is so awesome to be able to mix my business with such pleasure.  Thank you "W" family for sharing your very special time with me!

Here's some sneak peaks:

I have a new love

Pointe shoes, pirouettes, and leaps, Oh My!  I love, love Senior Portraits!  I always have.  But, lately I've done some Senior, Dancer Portraits.  Woo Hoo!  I'm in Love!  Something about the way a dancer moves--with such grace and elegance.  The options are limitless!  This weekend, I photographed the lovely and oh so talented Brittany.  She's a dancer at the studio my daughter dances at.  We strolled around Ybor City with our (her) pointe shoes and (my) camera in tow.  I have been staring at the photos all day.  Love my job!

MIA

Wow!  Guess I'm just a little behind on my blogging.  We've been super busy with so many activities: Dance Recital and Competition, Miss Florida Pageant, trip to NYC, and life!  Wondering when my relaxing summer will get started???

Life is starting to slow down, and I've been working on getting the house back in order.  I get in these moods to redecorate--it happens alot actually.  So I put up new curtains in the living room (made from painter's drop cloths) and painted some frames light blue and other accessories bright orange.  No, they are not the Gator's colors!  I've always gotta be doing something creative.  It's just the way I'm made.

In between getting my life back in order, I've been slowing getting back into photography.  I have purposely taken the summer off to spend time with my family.  But, I am so ready to go now!!  Looking for some new friends to photograph .  Let me know if you are interested.

Here's some of my favorite photos from the last several months...

BABY Bronson

Newborn photo sessions are the best! Some friends of mine had a beautiful baby boy a few weeks ago and asked me to come over and take some picts. He is so handsome and I had a blast. Big brother Judson is always ready with a smile too. Such a great family, and I feel so blessed that they shared some of their memories with me!

Here's some of my favorites:

ETSY

This week, my mom and I decided to open up a shop on ETSY. (As if I didn't already have enough going on.) We decided to do it together and use both our ideas and creativity for different items to sell. ETSY is awesome. For those of you who haven't already discovered this site, drop everything and go check it out. It is a place for people to sell handmade and vintage products. There are so many wonderful shops that sell anything and everything you can imagine.

My mom and I decided to narrow what we make to include baby/children items. I have made some super cute tutus. Mom has crocheted some beautiful baby cocoons. I plan on using these for photo props. We will be adding more as we complete them. Mom's going to crochet some baby blankets and we'll both be doing some quilting. I took some photos of my girls modeling the tutus.

I had a photo session scheduled for last night. I was to photograph a 3 week old little guy. I was so excited! I'm needing a little baby 'fix' lately. Well, the whole family (including baby Bronson) have gotten very sick, so the session was cancelled. I'm so bumbed it was cancelled and am really hoping to get to see baby Bronson very soon. I'm planning to use one of the cocoons my mom made during the photo session. Should be fun.

Maternity and More

September 6, 2009

Last Sunday I had the wonderful joy of photographing a friend of mine. She is expecting her first baby in a few weeks and wanted to capture her growing belly in photos. I had so much fun with her. And, although she was nervous at first, we got some really great shots.

I love having a studio in my home. It was so relaxing for Mommy-to-be to change clothes and feel comfortable while I left the room. It is really a great setup.

Here's some of my favorites from the day. I have left her name and face off the site for privacy reasons.

The day after this shoot I had the great pleasure of having my wisdom teeth removed (insert sarcasm here.) I'm still kicking myself for not having them removed 15 years ago like I should have! I purposely didn't book any sessions for a full week so I could take time to recover. I received an email on Thursday from Bethany asking if we could get together for a photo session in the park on Saturday. I thought, 'hey I'm feeling pretty good. let's do it!' Bethany and Mike's little boy Eli is so darn cute and a joy to photograph. The parents weren't bad either. . . :)

An added bonus was having my family at the park also. Daddy took the girls for a walk on the boardwalk and some running around in the park while I had some fun with the Morgan family. I love my job!
